The National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Inc. (NCBW) officially chartered its 65th chapter, the Aurora Illinois Metropolitan Chapter, on Saturday, November 8, 2025, with 41 charter members. Led by Chartering President Michele Williams Clark, our chapter is dedicated to advocacy,  empowerment, and sisterhood in service to the Aurora community.

The establishment of the Aurora Illinois Metropolitan Chapter

followed collaborative initiatives that began in early 2024

through discussion between Aurora Former Mayor Richard C. Irvin

and NCBW National President Virginia W. Harris.

The chartering ceremony was held on November 8, 2025, and was presided over by NCBW National President Virginia W. Harris.

With pride and purpose, we recognize the visionary women who serve as the 41 Charter Members of the National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Inc., Aurora Illinois Metropolitan Chapter. These distinguished leaders embody excellence, advocacy, and sisterhood in action.

As the 65th chapter of the National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Inc., the Aurora Illinois Metropolitan Chapter is committed to serving the community through advocacy and

leadership on behalf of  Black women and girls.

Known as the “City of Lights” chapter, we proudly AIM to remain devoted to improving the quality of life for Black women and girls through meaningful action, collaboration, and service.
