WELCOME TO THE AURORA ILLINOIS METROPOLITAN CHAPTER OF NCBW Inc.

Welcome to the official website of the Aurora Illinois Metropolitan chapter of the

National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Inc. (NCBW) -Empowering Black Women and Girls-Together!

As the 65th chapter, chartered in November 2025 we are excited to serve not only Aurora, but the vibrant Western Suburbs of the Chicagoland area. For over four decades, NCBW has stood as a beacon of advocacy, empowering Black women and girls to achieve their highest potential through leadership, equity, and community transformation.

Two guiding principles inspire our work: Be the One Thing that Changes Everything and We Are Stronger Together. We believe that each of us has the power to spark transformation, and that our collective strength amplifies every effort. These core values shape our commitment to uplifting and empowering Black women and girls throughout our community.

Our mission is to advocate for Black women and girls, championing causes that uplift, educate, and empower. As we build our foundation in this region, we are energized by the opportunity to collaborate with local organizations, businesses, and community leaders working together to ensure the needs and voices of Black women and girls are at the center of every initiative.

Our programming focuses on four essential areas: Economic Empowerment, nurturing financial literacy and entrepreneurship; Health, advancing wellness and access to care; Education, fostering academic achievement and lifelong learning; and Public Policy, advocating for laws and policies that protect and elevate the interests of Black women and girls. Through these pillars, we strive to create lasting impact and meaningful opportunities for all.

We invite you to join us whether as a member, partner, or supporter as we build a future filled with possibility. Together, we will make the Western Suburbs a place where Black women and girls thrive, lead, and inspire.

Welcome to our community. Welcome to progress. Welcome to NCBW Aurora!

In Service and Sisterhood,

Michele Williams Clark
